How does hair transplant treatment proceed?

At Hair Clinic Wolf, you can choose where you want to be treated: at our clinic in Prinsenbeek (the Netherlands) or in Turkey (Istanbul). The treatments, techniques and quality standards are the same at both locations. The main difference lies in the setting.

If you choose treatment in the Netherlands, the procedure takes place at our own clinic in Prinsenbeek. If you choose Turkey, you opt for a more affordable and fully organised treatment journey.

A hair transplant in Turkey takes place over three days. You fly to Istanbul, where you are picked up and taken to your hotel. The procedure itself takes approximately 6 to 8 hours, depending on the number of grafts. The following day includes a check-up and the first hair wash. After that, your recovery continues in the Netherlands under the guidance of Hair Clinic Wolf.

What is the result after a hair transplant?

The result of a hair transplant develops in several phases. During the first two months, the skin mainly focuses on recovery. It is important not to touch or scratch the scalp during this period.

After three to four months, the first visible results appear and new hair gradually starts to grow. Between six and twelve months, these hairs become stronger and fuller, and the result becomes clearly visible. The final result is usually visible after around twelve months. At this stage, the transplanted hairs are no longer distinguishable from your natural hair, allowing you to enjoy your fuller hair with confidence.

How long will it take to see results?

In the initial period after the treatment, the transplanted hairs may fall out. This is completely normal and part of the process. New hair growth usually starts after approximately three months.

After around seven months, about 85 to 90% of the result is visible. The final result is typically achieved after twelve to fourteen months.
