What is FUE and how does it work?
FUE stands for Follicular Unit Extraction, a method in which we use a small drill to remove hair follicles from your donor area. Then we make small channels in the area where you want hair, and place the hairs with special tweezers.
What is the difference between the FUT and FUE techniques?
The biggest advantage of FUE compared to the older FUT technique is that you are not left with a scar. This is because with FUT, a piece of skin is removed from your head, leaving a scar. This is why at Hair Clinic Wolf we only use FUE.
What is the difference with DHI?
In DHI, or Direct Hair Implantation, we use Choi pins to place hair follicles directly into your scalp. This is different from FUE, where we first create channels and then place the hair follicles.
What are the benefits of FUE?
- Less time-consuming than DHI.
- You can implant more grafts per session.
- Treatment is cheaper.
What are the disadvantages of FUE?
- Lower density compared to DHI.
- The recovery process takes longer.
- our scalp needs to be shaved.
