Beard Transplant

Do you suffer from a thin or missing beard? If so, consider a beard transplant. This can fill in bald spots or even create a full beard, often leading to increased self-confidence. But how does a beard transplant actually work? And what is involved? In this text, we give you all the information you need.

How does a beard transplant work?

Beard transplantation can provide a solution for men without beards, no matter what part of the beard is missing, be it the mustache, goatee, sideburns or any other part. There are several causes for lack of beard growth, including genetics, heredity, surgical scars and burns. You don’t have to be completely bald; even men with a thin beard can opt for a thicker and fuller beard.

During a beard transplant, healthy hair follicles are moved from the donor area to the desired area, where, over time, they produce new hairs and fill in bald spots. The procedure is performed under local anesthesia and – despite taking 4 to 8 hours – is non-invasive.

Procedure for beard transplantation with DHI

Hair follicles can be transplanted in different ways. Although FUE often named as the best method for beard transplantation, provides the latest technology, Direct Hair Implantation (DHI), beautiful results. The specialist recommends the best technique based on photographs. DHI uses implantation pins for direct placement of grafts into the scalp, which provides less bleeding and more control over the direction and depth of the hair follicles.

Choosing your new beard line

You have the freedom to choose the shape of your new beard line, with expert advice from the doctor. A natural beard often does not have straight or sharp lines, as you can achieve this with shaving as well. The placement and shape of the beard line are essential to the appearance of your face. Some choose a straight line, while others prefer a higher, rounder line to maintain a more natural appearance.

Why is mustache and/or beard transplantation offered with the DHI method with you?

At Hair Clinic Wolf, we offer the DHI method for mustache and beard transplants for several good reasons:

Direct hair implantation

With DHI, hair follicles are placed directly into the desired area without the need for incisions. This means precise and careful implantation.

Less bleeding and damage

Because there are no incisions, there is almost no bleeding during the procedure and minimal damage to the skin. This provides greater comfort and less risk of complications.

Faster recovery

With minimal damage and less risk of bleeding, recovery time after a DHI transplant is shorter. You can enjoy your new beard or mustache sooner.

Precision and safety

The DHI implanter provides the surgeon with complete control over the direction, angle and depth of the implanted hair follicles, ensuring a precise and safe procedure.

When will I see results?

After the beard transplant, the transplanted hairs may temporarily fall out, which is normal. After about 15 days, hair loss, also known as shockfall, begins and lasts until the end of the second month. From the third month, new hairs begin to grow. After 7 to 8 months you reach about 85-90% of the final result, and then the hairs continue to grow. The final result is visible after 12 to 14 months, but individual experience may vary.

Very happy with the result!

“At Hair Clinic Wolf, I had a great experience. From the first consultation, I felt welcomed and well guided by Lieselotte and her team. They took the time to understand my needs and explain the procedure.

The procedure itself was very professional. The medical team walked me through the treatment very well. The aftercare instructions were clear.

During the recovery period, Hair Clinic Wolf was always available to check on my progress and answer questions. This gave me great confidence in their expertise.

Now several months after the beard transplant, I am very happy with the results. My beard is fuller and thicker than ever before, which has significantly improved my self-confidence.
